Dr. Rechtschaffen graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Biochemistry in 1991. He earned his medical degree at the New York University School of Medicine in 1995. He chose to enter the field of Urology primarily because of the flexibility it offers to treat both life threatening diseases such as cancer as well as quality of life diseases such as voiding dysfunction, sexual health and infertility.
