Dr. Zachary Simmons, MD, is a neurologist with a subspecialty focus in neuromuscular medicine, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease) and other motor neuron disorders such as primary lateral sclerosis, progressive muscular atrophy, progressive bulbar palsy, and hereditary spastic paraplegia. He directs the multidisciplinary ALS clinic at Penn State Health Neuroscience Institute, an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence, serving over 200 patients
