About Me My journey to psychiatry was a circuitous one. I found that as an undergraduate student in New York City, I was drawn to the arts and the time it allotted for academic inquiry outside of a lecture hall. Though I had always been attracted to a career in medicine, I could not definitively identify a particular specialty of interest and thus, could not commit at the time. After graduating with a bachelor of arts in art history, I spent time volunteering as a tutor for high school students
