Dr. Carlos Medina is a native New Yorker who grew up in Hempstead, Long Island. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a machine-gunner he attended Columbia University where he double majored in philosophy and history. Following graduation from Columbia with honors in philosophy, Dr. Medina decided to pursue a medical career and attended the post baccalaureate pre-medical program at Hunter College.
