About Me I decided to become a doctor when I was 9 years old. I was always interested in science, and as a child, I had a fascination for reading medical-mystery books. I remember sketching medical diagrams in my notebook and trying to figure out if I could find a cure for certain diseases. I chose to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology because I believe high-quality gynecologic care that includes reproductive, contraceptive, and hormonal services should be available to everyone who needs it
