About Me I first encountered cancer when I was eight years old and a close family member was diagnosed with the disease. During this frightening and uncertain time, my family and I relied on the medical oncologist for guidance and support. I was drawn to a career in medical oncology because I wanted to provide people with this same care and compassion.
