About Me As a child, I had a huge fear of going to the doctor. I did not know what to expect—and neither did my parents, since they did not know English. Eventually, though, my anxiousness turned to curiosity. Biology class gave me a glimpse into medicine, and I found it fascinating. Today, I am triple board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. As an interventional cardiologist, I guide thin, flexible tubes called catheters through arteries and veins to diag
