Glenn M. Preminger received his M.D. in 1977 and Urologic training at the University of North Carolina (1983). He was an AUA Scholar (1983-1985) in Mineral Metabolism at UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas), concentrating on the medical management of nephrolithiasis. He returned to NC in 1993 as Professor of Urologic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. In 2011, Dr. Preminger became Chief of Urology at Duke and was named the James F. Glenn Distinguished Professor of Urologic Surgery.
