Gastroenterology
Jeremy Rochester, MD
Clinical Instructor, Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine; Medical Director, Gastroenterology, NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Bethpage
When I was young, I looked up to my father, who is a radiologist. I knew he was saving lives, and this helped me realize the importance of the medical profession. In college, I volunteered at a hospital where I saw patients with a doctor and worked in his laboratory. The combination of science and patient care appealed to me, and I knew I would become a physician. Being a gastroenterologist allows me to be involved in everything from cancer prevention to complex, lifesaving emergency procedures.
