I was inspired to pursue a medical career by multiple people and multiple events. I had some very scientifically oriented teachers beginning in middle school who piqued my interest in the human body. My mother's battle with breast cancer during most of my youth was also a major inspiration. Once I decided to pursue medicine I found my way to cardiology and more specifically electrophysiology for multiple reasons. I was always fascinated by the cardiovascular system in medical school.
