My mother is a nurse practitioner. From the time I was young, I wanted to be a doctor. \n When I was a teenager, my grandfather had a massive stroke, and one of my closest friends was diagnosed with brain cancer in the same year. As a result of those dual experiences, I felt called to neurology.
