I grew up in a medical family in Cincinnati, always knowing that I wanted to follow the example set by my parents; caring for others as if they were family. I was named after my uncle who was paralyzed in a diving accident as a child. He inspired me to study orthopaedics so that I could help patients remain functional and independent, and his courage and perseverance to overcome the obstacles life put before him continue to motivate me to this day.
