I decided at a very young age that I wanted to become an obstetrician. I was 7 when I watched my own mother go through pregnancy and became fascinated with pregnancy and birth. I started telling everyone "I'm going to deliver babies when I grow up." As I went through medical school, my draw to the specialty confirmed what I'd felt from a very young age.
