About Me As the daughter of a New York City teacher and police officer, I learned the importance of serving others at a young age. In high school, I volunteered as a candy striper in the pediatric ward of a hospital. I enjoyed watching the doctors and nurses interact with patients and their families, and I decided to become a doctor.
