I decided to specialize in pulmonology during my internal medicine internship following medical school. I found the field incredibly interesting, especially with the advent of fiberoptic bronchoscopy, and realized that pulmonology would allow for direct patient interaction. I see adults with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular disorders, respiratory infections, and occupational lung disorders.
