Dr. Haghighat graduated from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience in 1993, and he received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. Dr. Haghighat remained in Philadelphia where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine in 2001. He headed south to Emory University for his Cardiology fellowship which he completed in 2004. Dr. Haghighat then went to the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans for his advanced sub-specialty training in Interventional Cardiolo
