Dr. Emily von Scheven is a pediatric rheumatologist with a special interest in the long-term health of children with chronic illness. She cares for children with all rheumatic conditions, including lupus. At UCSF, she serves as division chief for pediatric rheumatology and is founder and director of the Child and Adolescent Chronic Illness Center.Von Scheven's research examines childhood lupus and other rheumatic diseases. Von Scheven earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University.
