Dr. Mandel's clinical interests include pulmonary vascular disease, critical care medicine, and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. He has authored two textbooks and a number of scholarly articles related to pulmonary and critical care medicine. In addition to serving as Professor of Medicine, Dr. Mandel serves as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.
